Thanks for taking the time to leave a review — we do take all feedback seriously, so we wanted to address your comments directly, although I would note that we fundamentally don't agree with the premise of your criticism.

The Enkei Top Cap Mount is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium, which is one of the most widely used alloys in premium cycling components — the same grade found across high-end stems, handlebars, and cockpit accessories from established brands. Our mount is also CNC machined to tight tolerances, which is a very different process to the cast or stamped construction common in budget alternatives.

You mention K-Edge as a benchmark for quality, — however it's worth noting that K-Edge also uses the exact same 6061-T6 aluminium and retails for almost double our price. The material spec is the same.

We would also respectfully push back on the comparison to a product at 1/5 of the price. Although we can’t make a definitive statement about another brand’s exact material specification or machining process without a spec sheet (such as that available for k-edge on their own website), it is unlikely that these would be the same purely because the packaging appears similar. Its worth noting too that the packaging represents only a very minor part of the overall product cost.

With that said, if the mount didn't feel right to you when you received it, we would have been more than happy to assist with a return or replacement — we just need the chance to do so. We never received a message from you raising concerns about the product itself, and had we, we'd have sorted something out straight away as we have with your other previous queries.
