Replacement plastic insert kit to fit all JRC Components Computer Mounts. For those who have previously purchased a JRC mount and have either damaged the plastic piece or have decided to change GPS computer brand.

FAQs

Does this insert work with any quarter turn computer mount? No, JRC inserts are only compatible with JRC mounts due to the distance between the mounting bolt holes.

How tightly should I fit the insert bolts? Torque the M3 bolts to 2Nm only using a fresh, square-edged hex key.

Can I use this insert with a Garmin 1030 or 1040? A new Plastic Insert piece for Garmin (available from 18th August 2023 onwards) means your original mount can now also be used with Edge 1030 and Edge 1040 Computers - we do advise using our computer leash for extra security.

I ordered this part (x2) on Sunday and received them on Tuesday. Exactly as described and good to know that it has been upgraded to make it stronger so that it can take the forces associated with bigger Garmins. I have a Stem Out Front mount and it would be ideal to be able to use the pre threaded holes on the underside for a second mount, but since the drill holes are at 90 degrees to those on the top side it means that any device would also be at 90 degrees. Maybe JRC could make/sell a 90 degree adapter mount? Had great follow up call with Josh and overall very happy with JRC and their customer service.
