Our Low Profile Bottle Cage Bolts have been redesigned from the ground up to sit cleaner against the bottle cage while offering significantly improved strength and durability compared with our previous-generation bolts.

The tapered mushroom-profile head measures just 2.7mm in height, reducing protrusion above the cage by 25% compared with our previous design. Its subtle tapered profile creates a clean, compact appearance without adding unnecessary bulk.

The T25 Torx interface provides secure tool engagement during installation, while the high-strength 7075-T6 aluminium construction makes these exceptionally durable for an alloy bolt.

At the tip, the threaded section is tapered to help guide the bolt into the frame boss, making initial alignment and thread engagement easier.

Finished with subtle JRC laser-etched detailing, these are designed as a small but considered upgrade for any build.

Do the bolts need to be greased before fitting?

Yes, we recommend using lithium grease so that the bolts will thread in easily, won't suffer from galvanic corrosion and can be accurately torqued.

What is the torque range on these bolts?

A range of 2-3Nm applies, with a maximum limit of 3Nm.

What thread size are they?

The bolts are M5 thread and so are compatible with standard bottle cage rive-nuts.

Do they have to be used for bottle cages?

Yes. They are not be used in weight bearing or structural applications such as handlebar stems or seat clamps and are solely intended for use with bottle cages.
