Hi Paul
Thanks for your review, we'd like to take the time to address a few of your concerns below.
With regards to the angle, all of our spacers are flat, as is the plate on the stem mount, thus, whatever the angle on your stem, a continuation of the same will be evident on the mount. Typically this results in an almost flush finish but there are some exceptions with certain stems which use cocked bolt angles for example.
As for the length from the stem to the gps device, this will again depend on the combination being used and will almost always be the case with 3rd party computer mounts unless Small & Large variants are exclusively available considering the mounts need to be large enough to accommodate larger computers such as Edge 1030, 1040 or Hammerhead Karoo.
We also offer 5mm and 10mm options of the spacers with the Stealth+ mount, if you are using both together at present, it may be possible to have enough clearance to run just the 10mm for a closer fit.
An A:B slider image is also prominent on this product page, displaying the typical clearance to expect for a Wahoo Roam. This has not been altered and is quite a top-down shot so provides a reasonably decent view of the positioning.
Regarding the GoPro Adaptor, please ensure the bolt is being threaded from the correct side, with the threads on the side opposite the head, to ensure it is being correctly pinched. The most common reason for lack of clamping pressure is the bolt being installed from the incorrect side. If it is not working on any of your adaptors this is very most likely the case, however there is a small possibility the tolerance on the adaptor is wrong from incorrect machining. If you suspect this to be the case, please send a video to info@jrc-components.com so we can inspect it further.
I would like to point out that the extra £9 is not due in any way to the colour of the bolts and much more to do with the fact that the 4 bolts are made from Titanium rather than stainless, which is both lighter and subjectively stronger. To say they look like aluminium would sound somewhat complimentary to their finish, given the difficulty of a high quality PVD coated finish on 6al4V titanium. We can assure you however that the bolts are not alloy given what a haphazard material that would be for such a critical area of the cockpit under high load and rotational force.
Further to the price difference, there are mutiple spacers as opposed to the single length 15mm option with the standard stem mounts, and also the dark etched logo which is harder to perfect than standard etching. With that said however, the main difference in price is indeed in the material cost rather than anything else.
I hope this clarifies matters further for you but as mentioned, if you wish to reach out further by email, we will be happy to assist with the GoPro adaptor issue or anything else you need assistance with.
Best regards
